Hello and welcome to this convenient December blog-filling feature.
Every day a seasonal puzzler, photo or pontification will be awaiting your attention, the solution (if there is one) supplied, if and when anybody has a go, via the blog comments tool.
To kick off with, it's a riddle-me-ree that even Noel in his Telly Addicts pomp would surely have welcomed: a Christmas listings magazine covers quiz.
Can you identify the year, and the publication (either Radio Times or TV Times), for these six yuletide tableaux?
1) Jack Smethurst and Rudolph Walker as 'The Black And White Santas'.
2) Roger Moore pushing Janet Brown (in full Mrs T garb) through the snow in a skidoo.
3) Eric, Ern, Brucie and Lulu in a circus ring.
4) Bet Lynch dressed as Santa Claus handing Hilda Ogden a present.
5) A gaudy painting of Charles, Diana and baby decorating a Christmas tree.
6) Eric, Ern, Cilla and Rolf gathered around a table groaning with festive food and gifts.

Well, I wasn't going to enter this because I thought I'd have an unfair advantage, but given nobody else has entered so far, I thought I'd stop this comments box looking lonely. So...
1) TV Times 1973, even though there wasn't actually a LTN special that year, they were only on All Star Comedy Carnival.
2) TV Times 1980. Dunno where Morecambe and Wise were that year.
3) Radio Times 1972. What was Lulu doing there?
4) TV Times 1987. Better than the 1989 one that had Sally and someone else off Corrie with their baby bumps and a - choke! - in-character "interview".
5) TV Times 1983. Bloody awful, this one.
6) Radio Times 1970. Only the second ever double issue, that one, the first one featuring a weird pop-art montage of reindeers and, er, Elvis. I always thought this was a crap cover cos it's so badly lit you can't see anyone.
Now, where can I complain that the latest RT, with Who on the cover, has the same background on the cover as last week's, with Heroes on the front, so when they're on the newsagents shelves and you only see the top, they look identical, which is a stupid idea and will confuse loads of people.
I am fairly useless at answering such things but am enjoying them nonetheless. So, do keep it up. And all that British cheer.
5/6, Steve - The Black And White Santas was actually 1972.
And I think it was 1990, not '89, when a pregnant Sally Webster and Gail Platt showed off their bumps on the front of TV Times. 1989's cover featured - it says here - that immediately obvious embodiment of Christmas, Des O'Connor.
Ace theme this.
Just to be helpful.. wasn't the 1973 TV Times cover a picture of Sid James dressed as Santa Claus? One of my earliest memories, that. Assuming it's not a false memory....
