From memory, eight came from Dangerous (like Thriller and Bad, actually) - Black or White, Remember The Time, In The Closet, Jam, erm, can't remember the fifth but there was one, Heal The World, Give In To Me (best song on the album) and Will You Be There.
Like A Prayer had the title track, Express Yourself, Cherish and Dear Jessie. was that it? Four?
Automatic For The People had Drive, Man On The Moon, The Sidewinder Sleeps Tonite (which REM hate but I love), Everybody Hurts, Nightswimming and was there one more? Try Not To Breathe or something like that?
Introspective only contained six songs in total anyway. Erm, Domino Dancing, Left To My Own Devices, It's Alright. I think that's it.
Who Is It! And that was the fourth single, not Jam.
Phew.
I remember when a fifth single came off Lionel Richie's Can't Slow Down and thinking it was way too much. But Seriously by Phil Collins produced six singles, only the first three of which were any good.
Yeah, only four tracks were released off Like a Prayer at the time (1989) in the UK, but Oh Father was released as a single several years later to promote an album of Madonna ballads, Something to Remember.
And Find the River was the sixth single release off Automatic for the People.

I think its Dangerous - all bar one of the album tracks was a single I think.
Artists should go back to the late 70's heyday when it was rather the exception than the rule that a multitude number of singles featured on an album.

That fifth Jackson song is going to bug me now.

Erm, did Gone Too Soon come off Dangerous too? I can't remember. Bloody hell, that'd be nine if so.
